Fletch Diatonic harmonica tab font
Fletch Diatonic makes it easy to tab out the step-by-step actions needed to play any lick, riff, melody or solo played on a diatonic harmonica. If you can type, you can use Fletch in any Windows or Macintosh app that can write text, from a notepad app to a full blown music notation program.
Just by using the top two rows of your keyboard, you can tab out all the blow and draw notes for up to 12 holes. One keystroke will notate the hole and breath direction:
You can indicate all the normal bends, overblows and overdraws, plus “impossible” bends only available on special harps like half-valved harps such as the Seydel Gazell Method harps or responder-reed harps such as the Suzuki Sub 30, X-Reed harps, and Hohner XB-40.
And that’s only the beginning. You can notate nearly any embellishment or special effect.
Fletch can notate chords of any size and includes such harmonica-specific effects as warbles (shakes), rips, and bending into and out of notes.
Fletch gives you a full complement of tongue blocked effect symbols, including octaves and other split intervals, tongue lifts, hammers, slaps, and pulls, rakes, and shimmers –and corner switches.
By the way, you get all this power in a single font. No need to switch to different font to access different techniques or effects. Fletch contains everything you’ll need.
